D Hollowell & Sons purchased this 1935 Austin Chalfont to compliment the Imperial Hearse and make a memorable combination of times past.
The vehicle was originally purchased from new by a lady from Preston, the original purchase price was £338 with a £5 delivery charge and a £1 number plate charge.
The lady traded in a Daimler and a Minerva both very prestigious cars but the Austin was deemed to be one of the cars to have at this period in time.
